after we moved all our luggage into the car and dropped the keys at key return place, we drove to the seaside where we see seal the day before again for a walk up to the hill. the walk take bout1 hours for us to reach the whaler viewpoint where we r suppose to be able to see birds during summer but nothing to see in winter and another hour back.
after tat, we went back to the town by car to get our lunch. since we have crayfish everywhere in kaikoura, we decided to have crayfish for our lunch. the ones in restaurants r just too expensive which is bout NZD48 for half of the crayfish so we choose to go fish and chips shop to get NZD20++'s crayfish. well, it tastes real good but for me it's similar wif crab in the wrong shell :D
finally, our stomachs r all filled with food, and headed to Hanmer spring when 4 of them went back to christchurch. i was the driver for that trip. but it wasnt tat fun after all. for the whole journey, the roads r all winded and stiff uphill and downhill til i myself get a lil dizzy. haha! and another thing is tat there is no car at all for the whole journey til i almost reached hanmer spring. and due to poor radio service in NZ, we cant get any reception along the way so i have to ask the rest to on my laptop in the car for some music onli the journey is not tat boring and i wont fell asleep.
View along the road ~ awesome
After bout 2 hours drive, we arrived in Hanmer spring and the weather started to get cold. with andrew's "excellent" navigation skill, we managed to find the YHA hostel at hanmer spring as there is onli 1 main road for the town. haha! we rested, booked for quad biking and it's dinner time!! Jason who is another guy who joined us for the trip recommend us a place with nice and cheap pizza and he described as a dark shop, with table and 4 seats at the sides..and then? no and then...tat's it. but luckily the place is really small enuff and we managed to find that shop for minted lamb pizza, cabonara, and beef lasagnea which r really good.
went to the hot spring after the dinner. oh ya, it rained when we go for dinner and stopped right before we went out from dinner. and we were able to enjoy the nice thermal pool which is highly recommended to do it at nite as the weather will be the coldest. for the hot spring we went, they have 7-8 pools with different sizes and temperature with lowest of 35C and highest of 41C and another warm swimming pool for us to swim in. we spent 2 hours in the pool and after tat when we get out from the pool, we dun actually feel cold but very comfy :)
The days end with some photo looking sessions and gossiping as well as half of apocalypto..movie directed by mel gibson as everyone is real tired. and one more day to go
~to be continued~
