Winter Break!

finally, after almost 5 months of working, studying, waking up early, seeing pts, dealing wif diff docs and ppl...it's time for us to take a break!! winter holiday is here finally! it means tat my 1st semester of 4th year has came to the end. after finishing 3 attachments, we r given 2 weeks time to sit back and relax as well as to recharge ourselves before we move on to the 2nd half of the year. it's so nice to haf holiday..but wonder how can we survive being a trainee intern or house officer when we can hardly haf holiday if we r complaining of too much work and too little rest right now as a students? guess we learn and adapt to the new life when we haf to. but sometimes, thinkin bout it, mebe it is actually busier to be a student compare to a doc. like when i'm doin my general medicine attachment, the docs start their day with handover meeting at 8am and we as a students need to be there as well. but after ward round, they can actually do their own stuff or even go back home early...if there r not many pts under the team but we haf tutorials, teaching, clinics to attend til 5pm. so arent we actually busier? but i guess wad we haf less than them is responsibilities and stress. they haf to stress bout wad happened to the pts and anything goes wrong, they will be the docs' responsibilities whereas us as students just hang around and observe and learn :)

holiday is here. had a great day rest today and being good to myself by not doin anything! waking up late, surfing on the net and do some chatting, cook nice dinner - curry chicken and vege with rice for myself, try to clean my room that get messed up during the stressful nites preparing for the exam. it feels so good when i dun haf to chase after the time! couples of plan coming up! potluck during the week, visit to fren's place to chill out and for sarawak laksa, road trip and not forgetting study. but which 1 will happen...i shall wait and see. how bout tmr? go church and...dunno! haha,it's 0 degree celcius now *freezing*

watched couple of movies again few weeks back and also yesterday. went to a dvd renting place called videoezy and get 2 movies tat i wan to watch - pursuit of happyness and blood diamond. went for a great chinese dinner wif few TIs and house officer and watched pirates of carribean 2 weeks ago. Pirates...not my favourite!! beginning is draggy and kinda boring. too much things goin on and too many diff gp of pirates..chow yun fatt character is kind of unnecessary for me. but the last part is quite good...3 hours is just too long =S overall, it's still a good movie.


Pursuit of happyness - watched it yesterday. it was a great movie. a movie film in 2006 and acted by will smith who got nominated as the best actor in academy awards. a movie inspired by a true story bout a stockbroker chris gardner, who survived the bad times when he hardly have a dollar left in his bank account and trying his best to give the best life to his son. he was a salesman who sell bone scan before this, went thro interview, internship before getting the job. with much less time he has compare to the rest, he learned to make full use of his time and do more in lesser time. at last, he managed to get a job and be a successful stockbroker!
