Another week!

cant believe that i'm actually half way thro my gen med run and also..half way thro my 4th year over here as the 1st semester is comin to the end after my general medicine run. everything seems to be moving on so quickly. this week of general medicine is just like any other week. been goin to hospital everyday at 730am and my body kinda get used to it. making me feel like waking up at 6 sth even on saturday!! anyway, still manage to force myself back to bed and continue to sleep. and yea...during my on call nite on wed, i manage to take ABG (arterial blood gas) from a pt with the supervision without any experience of taking blood nor IV line. haha...it wasnt too bad, although my needle went slightly lateral to the artery when i 1st put it in, but still with slight adjustment, i get the blood successfully. cant wait for next week to get more procedure done :)

for this attachment, which is "general medicine" i din actually see lots of general cases! why? cos i'm in a stroke team. the teams tat i've got so far r all specialise team so far. even when i was doin the healthcare of eldery, i was attached to orthopedic rehab unit which take care of old ppl with bones prob when they have mostly general ward all around. all i can see now r old pts with some minor brain injury and stroke, bcos of tat..most of the pts r confused and demented as well. there's this old gentleman who had a minor stroke walked toward us with his hand holding a toast and talked to my consultant. he said : can i have a cup of tea!? well, obviously...he is confused!! -_-"

froggy and i went to join the young adult group again tmr and it was a movie nite! we watched an italian movie called life is beautiful..la vita e bella!? it was a story bout a jewish father and his son during world war II when all the jews got caught to a concentration camp. it was a great movie after all, it started with romantic comedy and it's bout the relationship btw the father and the son during the hard time and how the father help the son to survive with his ultimate imagination. and the main actor, roberto, he's really great actor! i guess tat's why he won the academy awards! anyway, my mood of watching movie continues...getting dvd for a few movies real soon! movies in my list:
